- Mountain Gorillas Trekking – Volcanoes National Park
Mountain gorilla encounters are the ultimate once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience for many wildlife and nature enthusiasts. Trek deep into the forests of Volcanoes National Park with an experienced wildlife guide in pursuit of a specific gorilla family. You’ll get the opportunity to spend up to an hour silently observing gorillas in their natural habitat when you meet them.
The gorilla family will most likely be just a few meters away from you, feeding and engaging with one another under the watchful eye of the silverback.
No other wildlife encounter compares to standing a few meters from these majestic creatures, and this will undoubtedly be a wildlife adventure you will never forget.
- Chimpanzee Trekking – Nyungwe National Park
Chimpanzee trekking is unlike any other type of safaris you’ve ever experienced. You’ll be on your feet the entire time, and you’ll be in awe-inspiring forest that’s unlike anything else you’ll see in Rwanda.
The Nyungwe National Park is located in the south west of Rwanda. Nyungwe is one of Africa’s oldest rainforests, and it is rich in wildlife and breathtakingly gorgeous. It’s also the ideal location for your time with the chimps.
- Golden Monkey Trekking – Volcanoes National Park
Golden monkeys are one of the must-see primates in the Volcanoes National Park. They are energetic and curious, and they frequently leap from bamboo trees or frolic on the forest floor.
- Black & white colobus monkey – Nyungwe National Park
Black-and-white colobus are found in tropical Africa’s forests, where they can be found in a variety of habitats such as lowland, coastal and montane forests. Nyungwe is also the only African forest where black and white colobus monkeys form extraordinarily large super-groups of up to 450 individuals. This is more than any other group for which this species has been recorded.
- Game drive – Akagera National Park
Rwanda’s only savannah park is Akagera National Park. Game drives allow visitors to observe a wide range of animals, birds, and breathtaking scenery. Over 500 bird species and a variety of mammals, including Africa’s Big 5 (lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, elephants, and cape buffalo), may be found in Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda. Other animals to look out for include giraffes, bushbucks, hippos, impalas, topis, zebras, and many others. The southern gate of the park is used for entry, while the northern gate is used to exit.
