This trip takes you around to experience Rwanda’s Wildlife safaris and the boat cruise experiences of Akagera National Park and Golden Monkey Trekking adventures in Volcanoes National Park. This is a private tour. You will be using a private safari jeep.
On arrival at the airport, our waiting driver-guide will meet and brief you on this 3-day tour. We then transfer to the park on the 2.5-hour journey from Kigali. Alternatively, if you are already in Kigali our driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel in Kigali after breakfast. drive to the Kayonza district in the Eastern Province of Rwanda.
The journey to Akagera National Park will reward you with planned en-route stopovers along the route. Feel free to ask your driver-guide questions about the wonderful scenery and even request photographic stopovers along the way. As you arrive at the park, you will check in to your booked safari accommodation at the lodge, order your lunch. You will then proceed for a sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema with a chance to see the aquatic mammals such as hippos and crocodiles in the lake or on the shores. Retire and drive back to the lodge, dinner and rest.
Overnight stay at Mantis Akagera Game Lodge (Meal plan: Bed and breakfast).
You will start this day early in the morning after having your breakfast, you leave for a full-day safari game drive in the park. (Order your packed lunch to be eaten later at the picnic area). We can expect to see the Big Five mammals (lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard) as well as antelope, kob, and baboon, among others. Akagera National Park is a varied habitat for wildlife species in Rwanda and a birder’s haven with more than 500 bird species in the park. Later, in the afternoon you will transfer back to Kigali, drive to your hotel. Dinner and rest.

You will be picked from your hotel by 4:30 am and drive to Musanze the home of Mountain Gorillas, Golden monkeys and hikes. on your way going you will be having time to discover, view Rwandan Landscapes plus the sunrise. Upon arrival in Musanze, you will proceed to the Park headquarters – Kinigi to meet your guides for the day. After completing the park formalities, we are embarking on a life time experience of trekking the Golden monkeys. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour watching them do their daily activities then after completing your experiences, you will be transferred back to Kigali. En route souvenir shopping in the city. Depending on your flight details, drive to Kigali international Airport for your outbound flight back home. See you on your next visit.
